My practice involves the exploration of multiple disciplines including painting, printmaking, performance, and photography. Rotating through these disciplines gives me the distance necessary to be intuitive in my decision making. I think the need to create imagery is a condition humanity shares, illustrated by the response to the pandemic. We saw this when people were forced to stay in their homes (caves) and engaged in technology or went back to simple creativity. I believe in the ancient and contemporary idea of an irrational journey into darkness to discover a truth and I strive to execute this in my practice.
