My work is informed by the process of combining edited and organised research with the fluidity of intuitive mark-making. Using imagery that has been taken throughout my travels, my work primarily explores the relationship between organic and human-made qualities captured within the rustic towns of Italy.
The repetitive process ofdeconstructing and reconstructing my artistic content is significant to mypractice as a whole, where I create simplified forms that are used as tools forcomposing new abstracted compositions. Working primarily with paint, my workexplores the use of clay, oil bar, cloth, and pasted papers. This multi-mediaapproach is influenced by my collated use of abstracted information, where I aminterested in creating layers of soft and raw textures to form a balancebetween lightness and structure.
My work is informed by the process of combining edited andorganised research with the fluidity of intuitive mark-making, to presenttraditional qualities within contemporary art.
