Joy Arden

Artist Biography

Joy Arden is a Fine Art graduate of Nottingham College of Art. She lived and worked in Ireland for over 20 years. Based mostly in Dublin, she worked as an arts and heritage administrator including for Art Bulletin Magazine (Artists Association journal for professional artists) and History Ireland magazine. She also worked as an exhibition organiser including the Irish International Miniprint Exhibition. After taking up stone lithography she became a member of the Black Church Print Studio. She was also a visiting lecturer to National College of Art and Design (Fine Art Print)

Joy Arden  

In 2002 she moved to Edinburgh where she and her partner published History Scotland magazine.

Since moving to Scotland she has taken up painting as well as printmaking. She works from her studio at Coburg House Art Studios in Leith, Edinburgh and is a member of Edinburgh Printmakers.
