Artist Statement - My works are inspired by the potent narratives and imagery of Greek, Norse and Celtic Mythologies and what they can tell us about the hubris and nemesis, clash of cultures and wild and civilising influences still at play in our 21stCentury lives. The imaginary scenes portrayed in my paintings are constructed using life models, miniatures and studies from the landscape. Some of these studies are then developed further and become individual works in their own right.
