Heads up for 2019

February 19, 2019
Helen Glassford

Our 2019 programme is well underway and we are now looking forward to our new exhibition Strangely Familiar with Ben Risk, Calum McClure and Cate Newton, opening this Friday 22nd 6.30-8.30pm.  Come along and meet the artists and enjoy food by Jamie Scott.

In March we are delighted to welcome artists Ruth Brownlee, Sarah Carrington and Dawnne McGeachy to the gallery in what will be one of our largest collection of works under the seascape theme. Sea Escape is a perfect exhibition for our coastal location. This show also celebrates our 5th year Anniversary. Preview 29th March.

Following the success of his exhibition in 2018, May sees the return of Norman Gilbert with a major new solo show. The gallery will be filled with his vibrant and colourful oil paintings of figures and patterns. 'Passion, Vision and Spirit II' opens on Friday 17th May 2019.

It's been a long time coming but we head into Summer with a major solo show by artist and Tatha Gallery director Helen Glassford. We can't wait to see the results from her recent research trips around Scotland.  'Immerse' preview night is Friday 21st June 2019

As part of our applied arts programme, we are delighted to invite ceramist artist Michele Bianco to show alongside Helen in 'Immerse'. Michele's work was loved by many in our last Winter show and we look forward to seeing her new work inspired by the mountains and coastlines of the North of Scotland.

Catalogues will be available for both the solo shows either directly through the gallery or on the website. Watch this space for more information. In the meantime please put the dates in your diary.

For further details about any of the exhibitions or advice on any aspect of our work please get in touch with the Tatha team.

We look forward to welcoming you to the gallery.
