We have gathered together six fantastic artists – all with very distinct styles and processes – in an exhibition which takes the viewer on a journey through the spaces we inhabit and the worlds we imagine. The works in the show map human experience across geographical, architectural and psychological dimensions.
We move from raw natural environments - Scotland’s land, water and skies - to the built environment exploring the beauty and isolation often found in and around modern city life. In amongst this we take an intimate look at enclosed domestic spaces - often felt to be sanctuaries from the outside world.
Every “scape” is a habitat shaped by our own experience and in this show we hope to reflect how, as individuals, we perceive and occupy the world we live in.
