Printmaking (noun): “the activity or process of making images or designs by printing them from specially prepared plates or blocks”

Rather than a “reproduction”, the fine-art print is an artwork conceived and created by the artist with the understanding of the possibilities and limitations of their chosen technique, be that etching, woodcut, linocut, screen print and so on, and the knowledge of the aesthetic properties of their chosen medium. Find out more about printmaking terminology here

It is an artform in which the process and the anticipation involved are as much a part of the final work as the end result is in itself.

We bring you a group show which showcases the work of four highly-skilled artists using different printmaking techniques to create beautiful handmade artworks.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the fascinating artform of print and to enjoy the wonderful artworks created by these four talented artists.
